Carmen Shaw wanted to create a source for childrens items that spanned all categories. Driven to create a friendly atmosphere for parents and grandparent to shop.

Carmen opened Toadstool Pond Kids Shop in Spring 2003. Now that her boys are getting older she realized how hard it is to find quality toys, furniture and gear in Canada for beyond baby. With the last year spent traveling and gettng to know designers Modern Baby Barn has been born. Opening March 1 2007, Modern Baby will be Canada's source for modern children's design.

Carmen is comitted to bringing you the very best and hard to find products. Helping make life easier on you and baby without compromising your style.

Toadstool Pond Kids Shop will remain open and be a source for childrens shoes, gifts, nursing and maternity wear.
